This year, we are offering a fun and challenging Election Day One Day Intensive. Any K through 3rd grader at any level of German proficiency will be welcome. The new students will be learning their first German words and sentences and the advanced kids will get to dive right into original German school material. For a welcome 45-minute break after lunch we will head outside weather permitting. And of course, Csilla will also dance with the kids!
Nut-free snacks are provided, please bring lunch, water bottle and weather proof shoes and jackets.
As every year, we will be gathering in the Morningside Playground (117th Street & Morningside Avenue) at 5:30pm and start walking with our beautiful lanterns around the Park. Our musician friends on their trumpets and trombones - as every year - lead us through the Park. We will sing together and hear the story of the Holy St. Martin that tells us about sharing and leading a life of service. And for hand - and heart warming finish, we will meet for a hot chocolate (and/or dinner) at BIER International.
Suggested donation to cover cost of the event: $5/child; $10/adult
Please bring your own lantern (we will sell artificial candles).
Each adult gets a $5 coupon towards drinks/food. We are sorry, drinks and food that you order are not complementary.
There will be music in the air, arts and crafts and little treats on the tables. The children can bring their songs and verses and St. Nikolaus who will come from the most remoate Swiss Alps will read from his golden book. After singing a few songs for St. Nikolaus, we will see what kinds of Swiss/Austrian and German delights he will bring this year. each child will receive her own little Säcklein with Nikolaus Leckereien. Toward the end of the event, there will be ample time for the families to take pictures with St. Nikolaus.

MLK German One Day Intensive. We welcome Pre-K through 3rd graders at any level of German proficiency. We will look at the achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and remember and re-understand together why he was and is such a central figure in the US Civil Rights Movement.
After lunch we will head outside weather permitting. And of course, Csilla will also dance with the kids!

This year, we are offering a Columbus Day Camp. Any K through 4th grader at any level of German proficiency is welcome. We have 12 slots
The topic of the Day will be Christopher Columbus. Who was he? Why did he leave Italy/Spain? Why are we celebrating Columbus Day? Who is or is not celebrating Columbus Day? We would like the kids to leave the camp with refined knowledge about the history of this holiday - in German!
The new students will be learning their first German words and sentences and the advanced kids will get to dive right into the topic of the day in German.
We will be singing, doing arts and crafts and going to the park or play ground for 90 minutes minimum.
Nut-free snacks are provided, please bring easy to eat lunch, water bottle and weather proof shoes and jackets.
Pick up is: 2:50pm, there is a $15 per 15 minutes late fee starting at 3pm.
