Rella’s 14th Annual Laternenlauf - Sunday, November 9, 2025

Bring your whole family and join us for our 14th Annual Rella’s Spielhaus Laternenlauf on Sunday, November 9, 2025. As in past years, we celebrate this beautiful German, Swiss, and Austrian tradition in Central Park.

📅 When: 5:00 - 6:30 pm on Sunday, November 9, 2025
📍 Meeting Point: Tarr Family Playground (100th St. and Central Park West)

  • Suggested donation to help cover event costs:
    $10 per child, $5 per adult — cash only.

  • Lanterns & candles:
    Lanterns will be available for $15 and electric candles for $2, while supplies last (cash only).

  • Program highlights:
    ✨ Our beloved musician friends will lead us in singing the classic Laternen songs.
    ✨ Together with the children, we’ll share the story of St. Martin.
    ✨ Hot chocolate will be waiting for everyone when we return to the playground.

St. Nikolaus at Rella’s - TBD

Join us this holiday season as St. Nikolaus visits Rella’s Spielhaus!

Enjoy a cozy Sunday morning filled with hot chocolate, children’s punch, and plenty of festive cheer. The children will be coloring holiday-themed templates and creating little arts and crafts projects together with our teachers.

When St. Nikolaus arrives, he’ll open his golden book to share a special message with each child before presenting them with a thoughtful gift.

Ostereiersuchen - Easter Egg Hunt 2026

Sunday, TBD, 2026 | 10am - 12pm

JOIN US! Every year for the past five years, we will gather again for a fun Easter Egg Hunt in Central Park.

We will have various stations where the kids can engage in fun games (e.g., Eierlaufen, Sackhüpfen, etc.). Once all the points are collected, they can start the Egg Hunt for their very special Easter Gift that the “Osterhase” hid for them.

We will also offer light refreshments for the whole family.

Where: Central Park at 93rd Street (North of Wild West Playground)
